- Rise to Stardom In October 2005, Sreesanth made his thrilling entry into international cricket when he debuted against Sri Lanka in one-day internationals (ODIs). Early Life
Sree Santhakumar Sreesanth, known as S. Sreesanth, was born on February 6, 1983 in Kothamangalam, Kerala, India. He completed his schooling from Vidyadhiraja Vidya Bhavan Higher Secondary School and pursued higher education at MMNSS College Konni.
The Beginnings of His Cricket Career
Sreesanth initiated his cricket journey by joining the under-19 team of Kerala to play Inter-District matches. Later that year, he also joined the under-21 team where he showcased a tremendous performance and gained the attention of selectors. In 2004, he officially began his professional cricket career with Indian Premier League (IPL) but rose to prominence with his exceptional bowling skills while playing for Kerala Ranji Team.
